EPCs are now required on all Homes for Sale
Energy Performance Certificates have been introduced to help improve the energy efficiency of all buildings - including homes. If you are buying or selling a home it is now law to have an Energy Performance Certificate in all regions of the UK.
The EPC is generated by a qualified Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) who will be required to carry out inspections on the condition of properties. Domestic Energy Assessors are required to be fully qualified and to be registered with an approved Accreditation scheme in order to practice and produce Energy Performance Certificates.
Northgate has approval from the Department for Communities and Local Government (England & Wales); DFP (Northern Ireland) to operate Energy Assesor (EA) Accreditation Schemes. The Scottish Government has granted Northgate Protocol organisation status.
