ISO 27001 Accreditation
The Northgate Energy assessor accreditation scheme is included in the scope of Northgate’s registration to ISO 27001. This is maintained by annual external audits together with more frequent internal audits by the information security manager.
ISO/IEC 27001 is the only auditable international standard which defines the requirements for an Information Security Management System (ISMS). The standard is designed to ensure the selection of adequate and proportionate security controls. It implements OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development) principles governing security of information and network systems.
This helps to protect information assets including data held about energy assessors, data held through energy certificates and the infrastructure that supports the energy efficiency business.
